Better Building Finance was established by the City of Melbourne in 2015 to help other councils adopt EUF in their municipalities. With our open market platform, we ensure that adopting EUF is easy, transparent and compliant with legislation.
Better Building Finance is powered by the Sustainable Australia Fund, to open up the market for Environmental Upgrade Finance and allow more businesses to access better finance for their sustainability projects.

Shay has worked with Better Building Finance since the beginning, leading a variety of projects including adopting the official finance mechanism under the City of Melbourne’s 1200 Buildings program. He is now responsible for the growth of the EUF program across Australia and ensuring the program delivers mutually beneficial outcomes for councils and local businesses.
Shristi offers day to day administrative and business support to both councils and local businesses, helping to facilitate EUF for all parties. Shristi can help with all the necessary documentation, connect businesses to lenders, and help all stakeholders understand how this form of finance is better for businesses, councils and the community.
