Better Building Finance works with local governments to enable them to offer Environmental Upgrade Finance to businesses in their municipality.

Since 2010 we’ve enabled Australian businesses to make upgrades worth almost $30 million, saving 330,000 tonnes of carbon. Read their stories.

By providing access to better finance, we make it easy to upgrade buildings to be better for staff, the community, and for the environment.

Our purpose is to create more sustainable businesses across Australia.

What we do

Our story

Better Building Finance was established by the City of Melbourne in 2015 to help other councils adopt EUF in their municipalities. With our open market platform, we ensure that adopting EUF is easy, transparent and compliant with legislation.

Better Building Finance is powered by the Sustainable Australia Fund, to open up the market for Environmental Upgrade Finance and allow more businesses to access better finance for their sustainability projects.
